Their presence in any Black Bear encampment signals that the faction has committed serious force to holding that location.

Berserkers attack in frenzied patterns, swinging heavy two-handed weapons in broad arcs that punish players who attempt to trade hits toe-to-toe. They have no defensive options (no blocking, no retreating), but their damage output demands immediate respect. The key to surviving a Berserker encounter is patience and positioning: bait out their long attack strings, sidestep the final swing, then punish during their brief recovery animation. Status effects like Stagger from Hammers or Freeze from frost-imbued attacks are particularly effective at interrupting their momentum.

Conversely, Berserkers who miss three consecutive swings enter a brief exhaustion state where they hunch over and gasp for breath, creating the longest punish window of any standard faction enemy in the game. Applying the Bleed status effect during this exhaustion window is especially devastating, as their lack of armor means Bleed ticks at full potency, often finishing them off before they can resume their assault.

Black Bear Berserkers are the most ferocious melee fighters in Myurdin's Black Bear faction, distinguished by their reckless, all-offense fighting style that sacrifices defense for overwhelming aggression. Unlike the more disciplined Black Bear Soldiers and Captains, Berserkers forgo shields entirely and attack with wild, sweeping strikes that deal massive damage but leave clear openings for counter-attacks between combo chains.
