Counter is a precision defensive ability from the Green (Spirit) skill tree that activates a brief reactive stance: if Macduff is struck during the activation window, he instantly counters with a powerful retaliatory strike that deals damage proportional to the attack he just absorbed. The harder the enemy hits, the more devastating the Counter becomes, turning the enemy's own power against them. This reverse-scaling mechanic makes Counter exceptionally valuable in late-game content where enemy attacks deal enormous damage, as the Counter response scales to match.
