The Goldleaves guild is a goblin merchant organization that occupies one of Crimson Desert's most complex faction roles: nominally a trading company, in practice a terrorized community held hostage by their own leader. Under the iron grip of Kailock the HornSplitter (also known as Split Horn), the Goldleaves have been transformed from a mercantile enterprise into an instrument of one goblin's ambition. Kailock possesses an Abyss Artifact that grants him extreme speed, making him nearly untouchable in direct combat and allowing him to enforce his will with brutal efficiency. The rank-and-file members of the Goldleaves, represented by characters like the merchant Shakatu, exist in the shadow of this tyranny.

The Goldleaves questline in Crimson Desert's Hernand region, centered around Unicorn Cliffs (Kailock's stronghold), is a multi-stage engagement that tests Kliff's ability to navigate faction politics as much as his combat skills. Shakatu provides intelligence and access that pure force could not obtain, and understanding the difference between the Goldleaves as an institution and Kailock as its abusive ruler is key to approaching the questline optimally.
