Nature's Snare is a Green (Spirit) tree ability that calls upon elemental earth magic to conjure binding roots and thorned vines that erupt from the ground beneath a targeted enemy. The roots immobilize the affected target for several seconds, leaving them completely helpless against follow-up attacks. This makes Nature's Snare one of the most powerful setup abilities in the entire game: its crowd-control duration is among the longest of any single-target disable, giving Macduff ample time to position for a devastating combo or to deal with other nearby threats before returning to the immobilized foe.
Nature's Snare works in perfect concert with elemental abilities from all three skill trees. Pairing it with Fist of Flame sets an immobilized target on fire, stacking the Burning status effect on top of the immobilization. Adding Wrist Cannon Blast while the enemy is snared delivers a point-blank explosive hit with no chance of enemy evasion. For longer fights against armored elites, chaining Nature's Snare with Mantle of Frost and then Charge results in maximum burst windows that bypass much of the enemy's normal defensive recovery.
